When you type a RetroAchievements username, it is sent to this site's own server, which calls RetroAchievements' public API to fetch that account's public profile and mastered games. Nothing about you personally — no account, no login, no password — is ever collected. The username is exactly what the RetroAchievements profile page already shows anyone who looks it up there.
A username's mastery list is cached on the server for a short time (currently thirty minutes) so the same profile is not re-fetched from RetroAchievements on every visit. Game and profile artwork is proxied through this server and cached indefinitely, since that artwork does not change once published. Neither cache is tied to who requested it — a cached profile or image is served the same way to anyone who asks for it.
Requests are rate-limited per IP address to keep the site usable and to avoid overloading RetroAchievements' own servers, which are run by volunteers. This is held only in the server's memory for a few minutes at a time, is never written to disk, and is cleared whenever the server restarts.
Anything you customise — mosaic or card colours, sizes, layout, the last username you searched — is stored only in your own browser's local storage. It is never sent to this site's server and is not visible to anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data or using a different browser starts from the defaults again.
MasteryHub runs no analytics, sets no tracking cookies, and carries no advertising. The only thing your browser stores is the local settings described above, which this site cannot read back from anyone else's browser.
The only third party involved is RetroAchievements.org, whose public API and media host supply the data and artwork this site displays. Their own privacy practices govern the account data they hold; this site only ever reads what they already publish publicly.

Email is the right channel for these specifically: a request that has to be acted on and recorded should not arrive as a social media message, even though it is a forwarding address — it receives, but any reply comes from a different address, not this one.
